Job Overview

The Tender Management Specialist prepares winning proposals, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end tender process. The Tender Manager is typically responsible for managing an opportunity from initial identification of a customer requirement through to contract renewal strategy.
Responsibilities include the introduction and implementation of all necessary tender procedures, governance, and processes. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines

Responsibilities & Authorities

Preparing successful proposals

  • Analyse and review the technical, commercial and legal aspects of the bid
  • Conducting research and brainstorming key points to include in the proposal
  • Coordinate with subject matter expert to conduct site assessment visits whenever required
  • Engage with other departments whenever needed to construct robust proposals
  • Craft persuasive, timely, compliant and commercially sound proposals in compliance with the costing model
  • Lead proposals approval process as per approval workflow
  • Drive continuous improvement and learnings, through post-tender reviews and internal process improvement

Costing

  • Provide recommendations to improve costing model

 

Document control

  • Develop a repository of templated responses for written proposals and budget calculations
  • Store and update all necessary administrative and legal documents
  • Records in CRM all RFPs and proposals

 

Team Management:

  • Actively recruit, train, lead and mentor the Tender executive if needed

Qualification and Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Sales or Business Administration is a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience in tendering activities
  • Have a good understanding of the business’s products or services
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Experience with CRM software would be an advantage
  • Attention to detail and organized
  • Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to work especially in the coordination work with other departments
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Must be excellent in written and verbal English and Burmese
