Flash alert – Covid-19 Pandemic: 507 More Confirmed Cases on 23 January  

+ new Covid-19 flash format

At 20:00, the Ministry of Health and Sports (MoHS) reported 507 new cases in the last 24 hours. They were detected out of 20,397 tests, i.e. a positivity rate of 2.5%. 14 more patients died from the disease in the last 24 hours.  

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Myanmar, in March 2020, 137,098 people have been contaminated by the Covid-19, and 3,045 have died from it.

Tomorrow Sunday 24 January will be our last Covid-19 flash under this format. Indeed, with the relative slowdown of the epidemic, we decided to replace those daily flashes by a weekly Covid-19 briefing, released every Monday. This document will summarize the main figures of the epidemic throughout the previous week.
