Flash alert – Covid-19 Pandemic: 919 More Confirmed Cases on 24 December 

Thursday 24 December, 2020       

At 20:00, the Ministry of Health and Sports (MoHS) reported 919 new cases in the last 24 hours, i.e. 119,414 cases since the beginning of the second wave (16 August). Details about those new cases will be released tomorrow evening.   

Those 919 cases were detected out of 21,515 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, i.e. a positivity rate of 4%. The MoHS also stated that 25 more patients had died from the disease in the last 24 hours.  

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Myanmar, in March 2020, 119,788 people have been contaminated by Covid-19, and 2,532 have died from it.
